Ka-band


Medium availability, 45cm to 1.2m customer terminals (occasionally 1.8m), Single country/partial country coverage. Consumer applications.

Amos coverage is offered on four satellites covering Africa, the Middle East and Europe. 

AMOS-17, the most recent addition to the fleet is due in service late summer 2019, and is the most advanced high-throughput satellite to provide satellite communication services to Africa. Operation in C, Ku, Ka-bands. Coverage: Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Established in 1965 as an inter-governmental venture at the beginning of satellite communications, Intelsat was privatised in 2001 and now operates over 48 satellite providing Global coverage via all the commercial frequency bands.

Arabsat is a regional operator originally focusing on the Arab world but now expanded to include all of Africa and Europe. Six operational satellites provide services in C, Ku, Ka, S and X-bands. Coverage: Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Based in the Far East, ABS (formally Asia Broadcast Satellite) now covers 93% of the world via its current fleet of 6 satellites operating in Ku, C, Ka and S-bands. Coverage Asia-Pacific, Africa, Middle East, Europe, CIS and Russia and the Americas.

Originally established as the European Telecommunications Satellite organisation Eutelsat now operates over 34 satellites providing global coverage in all commercial frequency bands.

Now a global satellite operator delivering service via over 50 satellites in Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) and 20 in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO).

BELINTERSAT-1 provides a wide range of telecommunication services (satellite TV and radio broadcasting, broadband internet access, corporate networks). The satellite operates in C- and Ku-bands. Coverage: Africa, Europe and Asia.
